Stretch Marks are tiny tears in the skin's sub surface. This tear is usually caused by excessive stretching of the skin which is a result of weight gain, muscle gain, pregnancy and even just age as skin looses its elasticity.
The best product that we know of the prevent stretch marks is emu oil. It is very rich omega 3's and penetrates the skin's subsurace to get to the vulnerable skin areas.
It then saturates the cells with omega 3's which add much needed elasticity to the skin. This prevents the skin from ripping as it stretches.
This is a picture of stretch marks during the first prengancy at around 9 months. You can see that the skin has ripped over the entire belly.
